Services at LEAP Speech & Lactation

LEAP Speech & Lactation provides private-pay, evidence-based services for infants through school-aged children and lactating parents. Services are offered in-home throughout the Quad Cities (Davenport, Bettendorf, Moline, East Moline, Rock Island, and more) and virtually, depending on family needs.

Care is individualized, family-centered, and focused on skills that carry over into everyday routines — so families leave sessions knowing exactly what to do next.

Pediatric Speech-Language Therapy

Speech-language therapy supports children from infancy through school age who may be delayed, hard to understand, or struggling to communicate clearly.

Wondering if speech therapy might help your child? Here are common situations we support:

• Early communication and language development

• Expressive and receptive language delays

• Speech sound and articulation disorders

• Phonological processes

• Social communication and pragmatic skills

Therapy is play-based when appropriate, developmentally supportive, and designed to carry over into daily life with caregiver involvement.

Lactation Support Services

Lactation support is available for lactating parents and their infants when feeding feels painful, stressful, or different than expected.

Feeling stuck with feeding or latch? Lactation support may help if:

• Prenatal lactation education

• Breastfeeding and chestfeeding support

• Latch and positioning guidance

• Nipple pain and feeding concerns

• Pumping and return-to-work planning

• Combination feeding support

• Weaning support

Services are educational and supportive in nature and may include collaboration with medical providers when needed.

In-Home & Virtual Services

• In-home services are available throughout the Quad Cities area, including Davenport, Bettendorf, Moline, Rock Island, and surrounding communities (IL & IA).

• Virtual services are available for select speech and lactation support (IL, IA, KY).
