About Emily O’Kane
Emily O’Kane founded LEAP Speech & Lactation to support caregivers and children through feeding and communication challenges with clarity, compassion, and confidence.
At LEAP Speech & Lactation, we Listen to, Empower, Affirm, and Partner with caregivers to build confidence, strengthen caregiver-child connection, and support communication and feeding success.
Emily O’Kane is a dedicated pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist and Certified Breastfeeding Specialist in the Quad Cities with a passion for supporting children and families in their growth and development.
Like many families, Emily’s own breastfeeding journey proved that feeding a baby can be deeply meaningful, and sometimes unexpectedly challenging. That experience reinforced her commitment to providing lactation and breastfeeding support for the Quad Cities Area that is calm, evidence-based, and free of pressure or judgment. Her goal is to meet families where they are, support their feeding goals, and help them feel confident and supported along the way.
